Engaged workgroups can create synergy and collective impact; however, it is often difficult to know when and how to delegate to workgroup members in a way that increases participation but does not overwhelm them. How do we know when we should delegate? What is the role of the staff vs. chairs and co-chairs? What about Iowa Cancer Consortium members participating in groups? How do we know when we need to ask for more participation and delegation or less?

Who Decides?

09/04/2018 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM CST
  • $5.00
Online, IA
Working in workgroups and teams can be both energizing and challenging. One of the greatest challenges comes when you are making decisions. Who needs to be part of which decisions? You want to keep people engaged and feel ownership but you don’t want them to get burned out and stop participating? Does the group need to agree on every decision or just major ones? How do we decide who decides? Join us on Tuesday, September 4th from 11-11:45 am to consider some practical ways to figure out who needs to be involved in decision-making in various situations in the Iowa Cancer Consortium.
